This is a public announcement that the Athens County Children Services Board is accepting applicants for the Executive Director of ACCS.  The Executive Director is the executive officer appointed by the Athens County Children Services Board to oversee the administration of agency service programs, fiscal affairs and ongoing operations.  This position is a non-classified Exempt Full-Time appointment responsible for community leadership, administrative functions with Board & County Commissioners, fiscal oversight, agency operations, program planning & implementation, staff recruitment, and is accountable for achieving the organization’s strategic mission - Protecting Children, Strengthening Families, Securing Futures.

A qualified candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills that effectively promote the organization. Likewise, a qualified candidate will display a strong collaborative approach and will be able to balance all federal, state and local interest.  Further, this individual will have an outstanding ability to innovate and think strategically so that organizational goals are accomplished.  Finally, a qualified candidate will demonstrate their leadership to all stakeholders.

Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field required. Minimum of eight years’ experience in child welfare with a minimum of three years experience supervising preferably in child welfare.  Valid driver license and automobile insurance that is in regulation of Ohio Revised Code required.  Appropriate licensure preferred.  Submit resume, cover letter and 3 references via email to Stephen.peterson@jfs.ohio.gov  Accepting applicants until filled.
