FOSTER PARENT INFORMATION MEETING

ATHENS, Ohio -  February 12, 2014 – Athens County Children Services will be hosting an informational meeting for people interested or have questions about becoming a foster parent in Athens County. The informational meeting will be Thursday, March 6th, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, at Athens County Children Services, Building 14.

Meet some of the dedicated staff, and have your questions answered about how to become a foster parent. Light refreshments will be provided.

Athens County foster families not only provide children with temporary homes, safety and nurturing, but they also help birth families by ensuring children can be safely reunited with them.  When reunification is not possible, many foster families choose to adopt the children who have been placed in their homes.  This offers permanency and stability that the children may not otherwise know.
