Benefit trail ride a success!
November 2, 2009Athens County Children Services held its ninth annual Benefit Trail Ride and Poker Run on Sunday, November 1 at Begley's Campground in New Straitsville. Approximately 500 riders came out to suport this year's Trail Ride, raising nearly $14,000 for local children and families. This funds raised at this event go to support Athens County Children Services' Santa Tree, The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance Program, and other local support programs.
Trail Ride organizer CJ Verity noted that the "weather was beautiful and the support this year was great". Verity also set the date for next year's Benefit Trail Ride and Poker Run: Sunday, November 7. Mark your calendars!
