Are you interested in providing respite for adoptive families?
The Post Adoption program at Athens County Children Services is developing a respite program and is looking for families to provide respite. There will be a training September 18, from 9-4, at Athens Co. Children Services in the basement of Building 14. The training will give basic information on what respite is, an overview of the effects of abuse and neglect on development, and supporting adoptive families. Respite is a valuable resource to adoptive families that helps maintain stability. Registration is required. Contact Brittany Dodd at 592-3061, ext. 145, by September 13 to register.
